Is a type of arthritis caused by the presence of uric acid crystals in the hand and leg joints.it mainly occurs in men. Gout is evidenced by a strong pain in the toes mainly the big toes or fingers. Uric acid stones can be present in the kidneys.

Causes
Is a metabolic problem which is of an excess of uric acidic the blood. The salt deposits of this acid irritate the
tissues surrounding the joints, mainly in the fingers and toes, and cause inflammation and strong pain.
An incorrect diet, red meat, obesity and hereditary factors as well as stress are the main causes of this disease.

Suggested treatment.
Drinking a lot of liquids.
Submitting to a weight loss program if you are obese. Stopping eating of red meat, fat, beer and red wine.
Eliminating refined carbohydrates .
Eating large  quantities of strawberries, cherries and cranberries.
It is also recommended to take vitamin A, E, B1, B6, B12 and minerals, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium.
  • Reduce or eliminate alcohol consumption.
  • Drink lots of water or other non-alcoholic fluids.
  • Increase consumption of low- or non-fat dairy products.
  • Avoid high-purine foods, including organ meats like kidneys, liver, and sweetbreads; oily fish like sardines, anchovies, and herring; certain vegetables including asparagus and cauliflower; beans; and mushrooms.
  • Limit meat consumption in favor of plant-based proteins like beans and legumes.
  • Consume complex carbohydrates, such as whole-grain breads, fruits, and vegetables, rather than sugary sweets and refined carbohydrates like white bread.
There's some evidence to suggest that taking regular vitamin C supplements can reduce gout attacks, although the effect may only be small.
