Rabies is a disease produced by a virus which attacks the immune system and is transmitted through saliva.it is also known as hydrophobia due to the rejection of water that people or animal have which is affected by disease.

Animals that carry rabies

All mammals, including monkeys, can carry the rabies virus, but the following species are more commonly infected:
  • dogs
  • bats
  • raccoons
  • foxes
  • jackals
  • cats
  • mongooses

Symptoms

The incubation time for the virus is 9 days to several months.a slight fever,loss of appetite,headache,hyperactivity,confusion .it is hydrophobia,that is a rejection of water.
Watching animals--- restless,reacts when drinking water,ad show a lot of Silva and has no appetite
In any situation , keep the animal tied up for 8 to 10 days.take the animal to the dogs health center

Symptoms in humans can include:
  • a high temperature (fever)
  • an irrational fear of water (hydrophobia)
  • sensitivity to light (photophobia)
  • fear of drafts of air (aerophobia)
  • confusion or aggressive behaviour
Humans—if the person feels itching in the area of bite,has difficulty swallowing in addition a lot of thick saliva.. in case of a bite wash the wound with aloe vera liquid soap and peroxide .keep the wound clean and apply bee propolis cream mixed with aloe vera gelatin.go to health clinic and get a rabies and tetanus vaccination.
Take lots of vitamin C.

 Treatment
However, if rabies infection reaches a stage where it causes symptoms, it's almost always fatal. In these cases, treatment will usually focus on making you as comfortable as possible.
Rabies can only be diagnosed once you have developed the disease and get symptoms. Various tests, including a skin biopsy, saliva tests or blood tests, can be used to make the diagnosis.
