This is the ending of the menstrual periods. This normally occurs
between the ages of 45 and 52 even though it may occur before or after this
time. This is cause by the decrease in the hormone production by the ovaries. (
Estrogen and Progesterone).
Symptoms.
Irregular mensuration, sometimes with a lot of bleeding and
others with almost none, occurring each time with less and less frequency.
Hot flashes and sweating during the night
Vaginal dryness
A tendency towards brittle bones (osteoporosis)
Change in personality
Vaginitis and urinary tract infections.
Insomnia
Cardiac problems
Causes.
The causes of irregular and abundant bleeding in women in the
menopause stage are due to the absence of ovulation, which causes an imbalance
in the hormonal production of estrogen and progesterone.
The emotional aspect of excessive bleeding during menopause, or
even of growing old play a key role in either the decrease or increase of
menstrual flow.
Profuse and irregular bleeding may also occur because of cysts in
the uterus. In some cases, these cysts may be of a cancerous origin, which is
why a biopsy or a medical check up is needed.
Note- when menopause is over the women becomes free from a
complete series of physical and psychological discomforts. This allows her to
lead a more complete and stable life.
Suggested treatment.
Hot flashes are a result of a decrease in the production of the
estrogen hormone. To stop hot flashes you should eliminate coffee, cola
berverages and alcohol, besides living a quiet life without stress.
It has been proven that the royal jelly contains estrogen
hormones, which is why taking from 500 to 700 mg of royal jelly can substitute
for the loss of this substance in women and help reduce the effects caused by
menopause.
Also the intake of ginseng and large doses of vitamin E. calcium
is recommended- dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt have a high
calcium content, in order to assimilate the calcium there must be vitamin D in
the body. This is produced in the skin when it is exposed to the sun rays. Fish
liver oil also has a high concentration of vitamin D.
Protein intake must be reduced while grain and vegetable
consumption increase. This diminished the risks of having osteoporosis.
The consumption of farm
fresh products such as wheat germ, alfalfa, etc, is important.
