Cholera is an illness caused by contagious and dangerous bacteria. It causes a very serious case of diarrhea.The disease is typically spread through contaminated water.

Symptoms
Strong and frequent diarrhea which starts suddenly and is as much as a liter an hour. The excrement (feces) is runny and grayish, without fecal odor, sometimes containing blood or pus.Dehydration may lead to loss of minerals in your blood. Billous vomiting. Extreme thirst it causes a rapid and dangerous dehydration of the person. (see dehydration)


Causes
Caught through contaminated food, dirty hands, contaminated water or contact with an infected person.
Uncooked fruits, vegetables, and other foods can also contain the bacteria that cause cholera.

Suggested treatment.
.Cholera can be easily treated using oral rehydration solution to prevent dehydration and shock, containing a mixture of salts and glucose, which is dissolved in water. It's ideal for replacing the fluids and minerals that are lost when a person becomes dehydrated.

 sachets are available from pharmacists, camping shops and travel clinics. If you're traveling to regions of the world affected by cholera, you should take ORS sachets with you as a precaution.
When a person with cholera is very severely dehydrated, intravenous antibiotics may be recommended to shorten the duration of diarrhoea and speed up rehydration.
Consult your physician immediately.
This illness can be fatal if it is not treated immediately. While waiting for a doctor, drink a lot of water with salt and sugar prepared in the following manner. Mix a teaspoon of salt, 4 teaspoons of sugar or honey and a liter of water. Repeat any time it is finished
Take large amount of bee propolis as a natural antibiotic. You can take a using little of aloe vera juice mixed with the rehydrating drink.
