The blood must maintain a certain pressure in the arteries to properly circulate to all tissues
Hypertension is said to exist when one or both of these conditions.
Systolic (maximum) pressure exceeds 140mm Hg.
Diastolic (minimum) pressure exceeds 90mm Hg.
Hypertension does not produce symptoms but rather slowly deteriorates the arteries and various organs.

Symptoms of high blood pressure 

High blood pressure (hypertension) usually has no obvious symptoms and many people have it without knowing.

The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have your blood pressure measured. All adults should get their blood pressure checked at least once every five years.
In some rare cases, where a person has very high blood pressure, they can experience symptoms, including:

severe headaches
fatigue or confusion
dizziness
nausea
problems with vision
chest pain
breathing problems
irregular heartbeat
blood in the urine

Causes of high blood pressure 

high cholesterol
high level of alcohol consumption
smoking
obesity
diabetes
lack of physical activities
high level of salt intake
insufficient calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
vitamin D deficiency
stress
aging
genetic or hereditary
chronic kidney disease

Drugs Treatment

Diuretics: thiazides, loop diuretics etc.
Beta blockers: atenolol, metoplorol, bisoprolol etc
Angio-tension converting enzyme inhibitors

DIET

Diet can play an important role in maintaining blood pressure within health limits.the more simply prepared fruit and vegetable are eaten the lower the hypertension risk.

Dirutic food : water melon, Squash,grape or shaddock,eggplant,melon
Fruits
Orange
Leafy green vegetables
Legumes beans of all kinds
Celery
Garlic
Guava, Grape juice
berries
Fiber, Quaker oat, cabbage, leek,whole grain bread, fruits with all of its pulp.
Soursop,walnut, banana, peas , Onions, Apple , Tangerine

Food to avoid
Salt , Sodium Sausages, Meat ,proteins ,Alcoholic, Saturated fats, coffee ,Pepper, Egg.
